Make a Strapless Top Out of A T-shirt

Don't we all love a DIY that doubles the value of a piece of clothing while gaining another fashion item to rock on the weekend? Or what about the idea of sharing some of boyfriend's clothing and turning it into this trendy, simple strapless summer top for yourself? This search began, as I had found some elastic in my useful box and decided to find a tutorial to upcycle some old tshirts that were lying at the bottom of my husband's wardrobe, never being worn or seeing the light of day. All I had to do was whip out my sewing machine and grab a few sewing items that I had in my sewing box (phew! No need to make a trip to the shops for one stupid thing)

This DIY tutorial video was so easy to follow, so get ready to raid your brother's/father's/husband's wardrobe for an oversized tshirt (preferable 100% cotton) and enjoy some hands on fashionista creating!

You'll need: oversized plain blank t-shirt, scissors, elastic, safety pin, sewing machine, and about an hour.

You could even use this project with a larger tshirt to create a dress instead!
