Have you ever wondered why you can more compliments when you wear certain tops? Did you know most skin types have a warm or cool undertone, meaning that certain colours make us “glow” and flatter our skin tone.

A couple of simple test you can easily do if you don’t know are below:

Silver or Gold Test: If you look better (e.g. healthy & glowing) with gold jewelry, this indicates a warm skin tone. People with cool skin tones typically prefer silver while Neutral Skin tone can wear gold or silver jewelry with no partiality as to which looks better.

White or Cream Fabric Test: You can use a pure white and cream cloth for this test. Place the white fabric under the chin, does it make you look healthy, ashen or neither? White fabric means a cool tone while a preference to cream fabric suggests warm tones.
