Answers to frequently asked questions
Can I get free samples?
We get so many requests for sample products that we could not possibly fulfill
them. We do not
maintain a physical showroom as increased costs would affect our
online pricing. If you would like
to examine our products first hand, please
purchase a small number from our web site and follow
through with a bulk order
at a later time. We take pride in offering quality products and service.
Why do printers charge more
for similar garments?
Most textile printers include a margin on garments within their overall print
price. There is a lot
of preparation involved in getting garments ready for
printing (lint removal; sometimes marking-up,
pre-pressing or treatment with
solution, hanging or racking, depending on the process), and the
printer's
margin on garments helps to cover time and costs which do not diminish with
increased
volume. It is for this reason that many printers will refuse to print
on anything but their own
garment stock, or justifiably apply a surcharge for
printing on supplied garments. If you have a
good relationship with a reputable
printer, our advice is to maintain their goodwill and let them
supply garments - stepping outside of this arrangement only when the printer
cannot supply.
How to choose correct sizes
Some of our garment sizes are very generous - others are designed to be body-hugging - check
product measurements for your preferred fit in each style.
Our
measurements relate to the
garment itself - not the body. The best way to check
your sizing is to measure a similar favourite
garment across the front of the
chest from armpit to armpit. This is your "half chest"
or "across
chest" measurement for this particular type of garment. Match your
garment measurements to
those we provide for most styles. Where
measurements are not available (we're working on it),
they are generally considered true-to-size by Australian standards in any case.
Despatch
Orders are usually shipped within 1-3 working days of order/payment receipt,
however if your order
is particularly urgent please let us know and we will do
our best to expedite the picking and packing
process. On rare occasions we may
be temporarily out-of-stock in a particular style/colour/size, in
which case we
advise. You may elect to wait - usually no more than a few days - for the item
to
be sent separately at our expense, select a substitute item, or cancel your
order for the item
(cancelled item refunded). Direct deposit customers note that
bank transfers can take several days
to show up at the receiver's end,
especially when made after hours. Paypal credit card transactions
are costly
for us to provide, but instant payment notification means that your order can be
processed as quickly as
possible.

be transacted
through your
own bank via EFT, or Paypal (most e-cheques and credit cards accepted).
Paypal
provides total security for your online credit card transactions. We pay for
this service so
that we do not need to see or receive your credit card details. To protect your
own security, do not
send your credit card details to us or anyone via email as it is not
secure.
Environment
Almost all of our cotton garments are made/manufactured from crops grown outside
of Australia. We
do not believe that Australia should be growing its own cotton
wherever pesticide use and irrigation is
involved. This kind of cotton
cultivation uses extreme amounts of water, and needs the highest level
of
pesticide use per hectare for viability in our climate. There are many other
places in the world with
climates more suitable for growing cotton, and people
who are traditionally dependent on income from
growing it. Some of the cotton
grown in Australia is organic and grown without irrigation. We are
working on
bringing garments made from 100% Australian organically-grown cotton to our
website.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, we use low-voltage lighting and
non-toxic/non-greenhouse/recyclable/
biodegradable materials wherever possible.
We keep road transport to a minimum by locating ourselves
as close as possible
to points of importation and distribution.
